“Our daughter, Zara, has been attending the Buckden FC Owls Development sessions for a year and a half. The opportunity for Zara to be part of a football club is a joy to watch.
The coaching team cater for a wide range of needs. The activities and skills development are simplified and adapted to provide a range of fun games that are easily understood. Not only does this provide the opportunity to improve fitness but the sessions also build communication skills, social skills and friendships.
The dedication and enthusiasm that Matt and the team bring is wonderful. They want to champion inclusion and make a real difference for those children who find it difficult or impossible to access mainstream sport. For Zara to be able to access an activity club outside of school with her friends and make new friends is very special. The excitement on her face when she arrives and sees her team mates and the coaching team is wonderful.
It is sometimes difficult to put into words how life changing this is for our children!”
Through the inclusive sessions, our daughter has developed the confidence to enjoy playing sport with other children. She finds school PE very overwhelming but with Owls, she feels safe, confident, welcomed & is never afraid of being judged. This allows her to be herself – on good days & when she’s not feeling her best.
